My BSc degrees are in Physiology, which is the basis of all medical science, and in Podiatric medicine. I also have professional qualifications in Science education, local analgesia and Fertility Care. With over 40 years teaching experience, both in state schools, in private schools and as a home-schooling tutor, and work as a medical practitioner, I hope to make your own experience personal and relevant to your needs. My teaching skills have been employed both in traditional class room settings, lectures halls, and private studies one-to-one. I have prepared students for Oxbridge exams and taught infertile couples how they can improve their chances of reproductive success. I use a student lead flexible approach, after first getting to know you, your background, your goals and your expectations. First, you have to understand that I am not taking the exam for you, I am here to probe your weaknesses and find out what you misunderstand so that when presented with a problem or question you can answer it fluently and confidently. Second, I expect you to read the subject material yourself and for you to ask questions of me. Third, I am not interested in time wasters, but if you feel unmotivated our exchanges might stimulate you to want to learn more and excel at the subject.
I have some additional experience in teaching the Catholic Catechism and other science subjects so the range of questions that you might want to explore with me can be broader than just A' Level Biology.
