I am a very calm and approachable person so my students always feel comfortable in their lessons and asking for help with questions and topics. I like to help students organise and plan the time I have with them which usually is leading to a test or an exam or simply coinciding with their school timetable. I have a good understanding of maths as I have a BSc in maths with a first so I like to share my enthusiasm and understanding with students. My goal is to help students feel confident and improve their skills in maths. I am very thorough with going over their current syllabus, work and ensuring they understand all topics. I will use their current work and also provide extra resources like worksheets and websites to help with their learning. I also help with exam preparation and exam practice so I will provide exam test papers to go over with my students and help them to understand the exam process and how to be successful when taking exam papers by understanding how to answer questions correctly and showing the full working out to achieve better marks. I have good communication and interpersonal skills and this has helped me to build good relationships with my students which is important for them to enjoy the lesson and learning.
