I am a Glasgow based, fully qualified Physics teacher with a Masters in Theoretical Physics and experience teaching and tutoring at secondary school level.

Lessons with me are relaxed but encouraging. I aim to get to know my students' interests and goals, so I can tailor my lessons to match them.

My tutoring style encourages practise of key skills while linking learning to ideas and experiences beyond the classroom, which (hopefully) make Physics courses more fun and interesting!


I aim to help students improve by helping grow key skills such as problem solving and numeracy. Developing good habits and intuitions tend to have a more lasting impact that simply learning material.


My typical lesson aims to meet three goals:

1) Building confidence with previous learning/key skills.

2) Introducing new concepts at a pace suited to the student's needs.

3) Growing intuition for Physics concepts by linking wherever possible to wider knowledge, experiences and interests.


I am entirely flexible to students' needs. If more intensive tutorial style revision is needed, I can offer that too!

I am open to tutoring at undergraduate level, depending on the topic.
