Teaching Format:
Lessons are pre-planned in advance to maximise active learning time, planning will vary dependent on the students individual needs.
During lessons we will explore the students individual learning styles that work best for them, and identify strengths and weaknesses to work on.
Lessons will not only focus on immediate support for the student, but also recommend and encourage holistic strategies to employ outside the lesson.
As previous student myself, I understand the need for a comforting learning environment and lessons will be presented in a way ensures understanding and reassurance towards the student, whilst remaining sufficiently challenging, ensuring the lesson remains within the “growth zone”.
Why am I different?
I strongly believe against pure memorisation techniques used for learning. Memorisation does not build a solid foundation for the student to achieve the best grades effectively nor generate a real interest in the subject. I believe understanding is key for not only achieving top end grades, but generating a real passion for the subject.
