I have been teaching since 1998 and have a broad educational experience having taught in Primary, Secondary, FE and Adult Education settings. I have also taught in State and Independent Schools.

I have two Post Graduate courses in Education having a keen interest in: Management and Leadership, Mentoring and Coaching and Change Management.

I believe that learning is a journey and this path can be made easier when learning is tailored to the needs and interests of the individual - this can cause 'deeper learning' to take place where learning is embedded and can be drawn upon in unfamiliar situations.

I want this process to be enjoyable and want a pupil/student to have a sense of pride and ownership in their learning.

The road to success requires a 'wheel of learning' where the student has the following spokes:

confidence,

discipline,

a 'can do' attitude

the ability to critically reflect

to be resilient

to link cross-curricular ideas
