I have used my own personal experiences to create a fun, rewarding, exciting and memorable language study program that not only prepares students for the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) but also gives knowledge and confidence to have natural and flowing conversations with native speakers as soon as possible. Even for students who are coming from absolute beginner level with no prior knowledge of Japanese, my goal is to give the tools to allow confident use of the language very quickly.

Lessons will include:
Speaking - Speaking is of course important when it comes to learning any language, Japanese is no exception. I aim to have students using new grammer and vocabulary as quickly as possible. The goal is to do this in a fun and creative way, making the experience as memorable as possible. I encourage students to think outside of the box, outside of the text books and become truly creative when speaking, and writing.

Vocabulary - Very important is the building of the students vocabulary. Each lesson I will give students new words to use and practice, as well as the chance to re-use words from previouse lesson. This can often be combined with Kanji learning as well.

Grammar - Grammar is the foundation of language, each lesson will give students new grammar to use and combine with what has been learned in previous lessons. Every single lesson will see the student grow and develop their ability to use and understand the Japanese language.

Reading and writing - Japanese has a fascinating writing system (Kanji, Hiragana, and Katakana) These are normally what scares students the most about learning Japanese. Once understood, they are perhaps one of the most rewarding parts. I will give practical tools and lessons aimed at aiding students to remember how to use these characters.

Culture - Japan has an incredible history and culture. Of course, language is an intrinsic part of that culture. So as well as learning the language of Japan, I aim to teach culture and history along the way.
