I am a 35-year industry veteran with a wide range of geology, cosmochemistry and hydrogeological experience both field-based and in academia. I have always had a pasion for teaching graduates and younger professionals who are seeking to gain experience in all parts of the industry. My geology experience is mostly within the realm of gold and base metal field exploration and target generation, mostly within Australia but some overseas work. I have also spent a short amount of time as an underground mine geologist, and further private company (ground) water exploration. In my spare time I help manage a family cattle property in southern NSW, Australia.
Regarding my contact and education offering for interested students, I would seek to present lessons the way I was taught at university i.e. via a healthy mix of theory and practical lessons. I learned early on that once you step out of the education sphere and into the industry, there is much more to learn. I feel I can offer a useful bridge to assist those seeking to do so. For those who simply wish to push on within the academic domain, I can also assist with theory and a healthy background of (geo, cosmo) chemistry and physics. Although it has been years since I have studied these subjects, they are still a passion of mine and I try to keep up to date.
