Depending on an evaluation, goals and expectations of the student, I tend to craft personalized lesson plans that focus directly on the need and desire of the student. As a student you can expect a fun learning personal class. English is a challenging language to master because other languages use cues to tell a reader when tense has or is about to changed. Thus, I like to work with reading aloud exercises to hear proper cues. Starting with children as young as two or three, hearing the precise way to create sentences begins develop correct sentence structure later. (E.G., Pronoun-verb-noun, I walked to school.) Of course is no difference as one advances at the English into Gerunds, Prepositional Phrases, Subject-Verb Agreement, Conjunctions, Tenses, Independent Clauses, etc. As an educator, I focus more on grammar and writing style more than spelling. Once a person understands the "How" to language, by hearing English spoken correctly. Eventually, a student can be begin to associate the "Why" sentences must have rules. I prefer using examples from published works to demonstrate rule function. I also like to assess how a students write in independent assigned props and free style on self-assigned props.

I want my students to have access to me post a class, a course or an intended goal is accomplished. Colloquial English is constantly evolving, and people will always have questions regarding language. The English language, for most of us, is necessary for survive. Being able to communicate clearly in an ever-changing world is vital. Lastly, I had the most challenging time growing up and learning English. I found the teachers and methods torturous. I don't want my students feeling helpless if they do not understanding grammar or language arts immediately. My goal is to help you to grow confident, as much as, it is about learning the craft of reading and writing. Let's have fun and enjoy English!!!
