For the flexibility of time and location, fully online lessons (Zoom or Skype) are preferred.
Once the goal/purpose of the lessons are discussed and decided with the student - whether it be for revision, pre-vision, or exam preparation, the lesson format can be adjusted accordingly.
For a typical revision or pre-vision lessons, a summary note of the specific will be made during the lesson on MS Word (screenshared) where there will be active discussion and communication involved.
The note will include concise summary of the topics as well as exam tips and further insight from myself as someone who has had first hand experience of learning Physics from GCSE all the way to PhD. The completed note will be sent to the student after the lesson.
In the last 20mins (for 1 hr lessons) or 40mins (2hr lessons) of the session, the student will go through some practice questions to apply the knowledge from the notes.
The lessons are typically 1-2 hours a week depending on the requirement of the student.
I have around 15 years of tutoring experience across a range of levels from 11+to Oxbridge entrance exams. In the past, A-level students have shown the best outcomes (e.g. grade E to A after 3 months).
I believe that motivation, consistency and clear goal are key to a successful student.
I can provide insights to concepts and questions to help better understand the subject, in addition to guidance on how to efficiently revise and prepare for assessments.
I look forward to highly motivated students!
