I am an experienced international educator, researcher and prize winning artist, with 20 years teaching proficiency in HE, FE, Schools and Educational Gallery work. Domestically, from I worked in the UK, as a BA Fine Art lecturer at Northumbria University and as a visiting lecturer at The University of Newcastle (1st in UK Times, Ratings, 2018). I also taught on the Interactive Media courses at one of the UK ’s leading new ‘Outstanding (Ofsted)’ colleges, Gateshead College, and I was an Arts Facilitator on the education team for 3 years at The Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, Gateshead, UK.

Internationally, from 2011, I was in the Middle East, as the Head of a BA Fine Art course at the Scientific College of Art and Design, Muscat, Oman. Following this, I worked at one of Russia’s principle Art Colleges: The British Higher School of Art and Design (Universal University), Moscow, where I was a Senior Lecturer and I also worked as an Art and Design Convener and Senior Tutor at The University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China from (CELE/UNNC) and as a visiting Fine Arts lecturer at Xiamen University, China in the summer of 2018. My currect position is Art and Design tutor at Oncampus, Winchester School of Art, UK.

Welcome. As an Art tutor I offer a unique and immersive learning experience. My lessons are designed to be interactive, engaging, and tailored to meet your individual needs.

The format of my lessons is flexible and can be adapted to your preferences. Whether you prefer a structured approach with specific topics or a more open-ended conversation, I can accommodate your learning style. We can have text-based conversations, where I provide detailed explanations and examples, or we can engage in voice or video chats for a more interactive experience.

The content of my lessons covers a wide range of art topics. To date, I have taught a broad-range of disciplines: Painting, Photography, Drawing, Sculpture/3D and New Media. Therefore, with each of these subject areas I have a widespread knowledge of their use within an art/design context. I have a comprehensive knowledge of art movements and developments, and a firm understanding of critical art theory and the history of art and architecture. I have a detailed knowledge of and an engagement with Interdisciplinary practices and I also valuable experience with supervising critical thesis work at BA level.

I have experience working with students from various backgrounds and proficiency levels. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced learner, I can adapt my teaching style and pace to suit your level of understanding. My goal is to empower you to become a confident learner and help you achieve your academic or personal goals.
