With my previous experience tutoring at Wallington County Grammar School, the very first thing I would do is assess where my student lies in terms of understanding and rate of learning. With my previous experience tutoring at Wallington County Grammar School, the very first thing I would do is assess where my student lies in terms of understanding and rate of learning. By doing this I’m able to plan out what topics to do at what rate in order for students to be able to cope with not only the work load, but being able to retain information. Depending on what level of study e.g. GCSE or 11+, the contents of the lesson will be different according to what the student needs, so lessons will be very centred around the student themselves.
