Throughout my 10 years as a tutor and teacher, most of my students have been SEN (Special Educational Needs) and therefore, my lessons are very relaxed. I was a SEN student myself, and so I understand what's needed to help people like me to learn! I provide an environment where learning can take place as comfortably as possible. You will be encouraged to do your best, reassured when you make mistakes and we shall both celebrate your successes!

I do get asked about learning, a lot. A lot of people don't know what learning actually is, so what is learning?

If you try something, and you get it right the first time, that's wonderful.
If you try something, and you don't get it right, then you have begun the learning process.

Too many people see "failure" as a terrible thing, a thing that should never happen. This couldn't be further from the truth! Failure helps us understand what NOT to do next time we try something. Eventually, after failing as many times as needed, you LEARN what becomes CONSISTENTLY SUCCESSFUL.

Due to this, my lessons are incredibly relaxed and the word 'failure' is seen as a learning opportunity, and not as a negative. I like to joke, laugh, and simplify the entire learning process. You are not a robot, and neither am I, so let's have some fun whilst we work, it makes learning much easier!
