I have an undergraduate degree in Spanish and a Masters' in Latin American Studies from the University of Cambridge, and have previously lived and worked in Spain, so I have both the theoretical and practical knowledge to help you best develop your natural language competency and fluency. I've taught students in Spanish language, literature and culture, as well as English, Maths, and a range of secondary-school subjects. I've also advised on university applications and personal statements and would love to help with yours! Looking forward to speaking with you!

As a tutor, I believe we learn best through collaboration. There are many fantastic teachers within the education system, but the constant testing and exam focus often prevents students from receiving a personalised approach that encourages their own flourishing and development, and turns education not into a lifelong process but a chore. I hope that in every lesson I am helping to get past this stumbling block and find what it is that motivates each student, what they want to achieve from their learning, and to inspire them to teach themselves and approach the world with renewed curiosity and passion. I pride myself on care, commitment, and attention to detail in teaching – I begin from the student's own understanding of the subject and how they feel they want to improve. I believe that this way, the teacher does not overpower the student's own creativity, expression, and ability to form their own ideas, to understand any subject as a functioning whole, rather than a series of rules to be taken in and swiftly forgotten. This is how I have always approached learning and I look forward to sharing these insights and discussing all manner of subjects with you!
