Hi there, thanks for looking me up! I've been a private Maths tutor for a number of years both in person and on-line. I am also a fully qualified Maths teacher of over 20 years including serving as a Head of Maths in a large comprehensive school for 10 years. I still teach part time.

I generally use Zoom as the platform, alongside a writing pad which enables me to write on screen 'live'. I'd say my style is informal and relaxed and I like to allow the student to steer their needs towards their chosen topics within the Maths curriculum. I find most students like to go over the topics they are currently doing in class and also ask for help with homework.

If you are preparing for GCSE then I use practise papers and past papers which we can work through together. If you are unsure what topics you should cover, that's no problem! I am more than happy to choose what we look at, all with your continued progress and understanding in mind. Wherever possible I will endeavour to help you see the relevance in the real world of what you are learning and teach you in a way that makes sense rather than it seeming abstract or pointless!
