Examples Of My Work
Each lesson concludes with a closing exercise, a short discussion about what we accomplished, and some
homework for next time!
Example lesson plan objectives of a 2-hour introductory session:
Objectives:
• To understand what practical criticism is
• To briefly go over different theories used in practical criticism of literary texts
• To write an essay under timed conditions of 1 hour (second hour) about “To His Coy Mistress” by Andrew
Marvell – write and review for any further analysis that can be added and request students to have it marked
by their English Literature teacher at school to see if there was an improvement in grade per official marking
in next session
