Hello!
I enjoy working hand-to-hand with my students to understand concepts at a fundamental level. I achieve this by promoting discussion during my lessons, in which I expose my ideas and get to know my pupil's. I take an empathetic approach, recognizing my own limitations. It's not rare that my students teach ME when things get confusing!
One of the challenges I often face during my lessons is answering an insightful question. If I'm not able to do it independently, I focus on relating to him through a simpler concept we are both familiar with. By breaking this concept down into smaller pieces, it's common that I'm able to enlighten both them and myself about its fundamentals; I then use these fundamentals to answer the original question.
With this dynamic, I've been able to help dozens of students getting ahead of their class and pass exams while lowering their stress. If you are interested, I'll be happy to put you in contact with some of them so that you can chat about anything you're interested.
The thing I enjoy most about teaching is listening to my students and learning about them. When I can help with a tough concept or methodology, I believe I make the highest impact if I can relate my presentation to how the student thinks or reckons already known matters.
This is the reason why I mostly avoid memorizing stuff. It's true that sometimes we're required to know things by heart, but that's not how I enjoy learning things, and so I project that during my lessons.
I hope to see you soon in the classroom!
