I am a second-year student currently pursuing a master's of chemistry at university, and have a strong knowledge of lower secondary, GCSE and A-level chemistry, which includes physical (topics such as structure and bonding, acids and bases etc) , organic (alkanes, alkenes, mechanisms etc) and inorganic chemistry (periodic trends etc). At GCSE I was awarded a grade 9 in AQA chemistry, and at A level I was awarded an A in AQA chemistry. My lessons are easily adaptable to a student's needs, and I can confidently explain concepts that may be hard to grasp in a large class environment, as well as offer any support with practice/exam questions. For students who feel they may have a slight disadvantage due to a lack of other stem subjects at A-Level, I can offer much support and insight to improve confidence and knowledge in the subject. In my experience, the best way to improve in a challenging subject such as this is through strong understanding and lots of practice, which is what I aim to provide to my students in a 1:1 environment (online). Due to my recent experience studying chemistry in a secondary school/sixth form environment, I have a good knowledge of exam boards and specifications, and therefore can tailor my teaching to prepare for the sorts of questions you may get in exams. I hope that I can improve a student's understanding of chemistry and make it more enjoyable! I am available for any length of tuition session, and if you have any questions about specific topics please dont hesitate to contact me!
