Hi! My name is Jade Villanueva and I'm university student, currently studying Adult Nursing, and I have a background in music. I have played the piano for 15 years and have completed all grade examinations in music performance for piano (grades 1 to 8), in which all were passed with Merit or Distinction. I would love to share my knowledge and skills to younger ones who are keen to start learning!
I would recommend to already have a piano or keyboard at home as I will be teaching at your place of residence.
The first book I will suggest to start using is 'Me and My Piano' and I will guide your child through the book; I will teach the basics such as the letter notes of keys, the names of notes, the musical stave and how to begin reading music on a stave, and there are also opportunities that I can also play along with your child whilst they learn! There are also small exercises they can complete to enhance their knowledge in not only in practical performance, but theory-based, as well!
First lessons will be only £15 for one hour, or £25 for two!
I will be able to teach from 4 to 18 years old.
