My lessons are completely adaptable for students needs. Depending on their level of education, my lessons can range from teaching young children how to read or helping with phonics to giving tips and tricks on how to get top grades at A level English.

Examples of lessons at primary level:
•Assisted reading/ writing, whiteboard work or spelling/handwriting practise.
•Creative writing could be encouraged in a range of formats, Including for example learning how to write a newspaper or alternatively a leaflet or a short story
•Lessons tailored to the english SAT are also possible

Examples of lessons at GCSE level:
•If necessary, I can help pupils who struggle with SPaG and help build confidence in reading/writing
•I will go through extracts and teach pupils how to draw out the best points for a well written higher level response
•I can provide structures for essays and help with creative writing once again, encouraging pupils to use higher level vocabulary and add intrinsic depth to their work
•I will also be able to teach pupils about a variety of languages levels, accessible for pupils doing foundation or higher level GCSE

Examples of lessons at A Level:
•Structure is essential to an incredible A level response so the importance of that will be highlighted
•A variety of languages levels once again will be explored, however it will be to a much higher standard than GCSE, including phonology, graphology, pragmatics, discourse and much much more
•Creative writing will also be explored in depth in the case of English Language - recasts and commentary tutorials are possible
•Any specific areas students would like to learn about can and will be explored to the best of my ability - students at A Level will have more autonomy over their learning

I believe it is essential for every pupil to feel heard and work in an environment where they feel safe to make mistakes. I myself went from Grade 2 at GCSE English to a Grade 9 and A* at A level. It is absolutely possible. I aim to reinvigorate a love for learning within students and ensure that they will get top quality teaching from me. I am an undergraduate student myself at university studying education, primary and early years, and I am incredibly passionate about teaching and most importantly making sure every student has an equal chance to thrive, no matter their background. Each lesson will be tailored to each Individual student. Each student will be heard.
