### **Photography Work Experience Plan**
#### **First Day (Monday)**
Arrive at **10 AM** at the main reception and ask for me. I’ll come to pick you up.
We’ll start with an **induction**, where I’ll cover:
- Health and safety (especially around photography equipment and studio spaces)
- Logistics (where to find editing suites, storage, and key locations)
- An introduction to what I do as a photographer and how I fit into the company
- Your main objectives for the week
I’ll also set you a **personal project** to work on throughout the placement. Your task will be to create a small portfolio of images that tell a visual story—this could be about the company, a behind-the-scenes shoot, or a creative project of your choice. On **Friday**, you’ll present your final images to me.
---
#### **Daily Structure (Tuesday - Thursday)**
Each day, you’ll **shadow me** in my role as a photographer and take part in my daily tasks. This might include:
- **Planning shoots** – discussing creative ideas, setting up lighting, choosing locations
- **Shooting sessions** – observing or assisting on real client or in-house shoots
- **Editing & Retouching** – learning about professional workflows and editing techniques
- **Client Meetings** – sitting in on discussions about briefs, concepts, and feedback
- **Marketing & Social Media** – understanding how photography is used in branding and promotion
Throughout the week, we’ll also take time to review your **portfolio project**, giving you feedback and tips to improve your shots.
---
#### **Thursday**
In the morning, I’ll be presenting a **photography proposal to a client**, and you’ll observe. Your challenge will be to take notes on how I communicate ideas, pricing, and creative direction.
---
#### **Friday**
In the afternoon, you’ll **present your final images** from your portfolio project. This could be a slideshow, an edited set of photos, or a short explanation of your creative choices.
To wrap up, we’ll have a **debrief session** to reflect on what you’ve learned, discuss your strengths, and talk about possible next steps in photography.
---
This plan keeps everything focused on **one team member (the photographer)** while still offering a structured and hands-on experience. Would you like any tweaks? ??
