We will use the work that you have recieved from your school lessons so it does not stray from what you are learning. We will go over past essays and work on the feedback given and improve upon the structure, language and incorporation of the text you are studing. Going over old exams and seeing examples of what to do and what not do to will help you prepare for the ones you are taking. Questions a great way to expand knowlege and are always welcomed no matter how silly you might think they are as sometimes it's the most obvious answers that go right over our heads.

In my experience of teaching/ tutoring the key is patience and letting the student find the answer rather than giving it. I want to have a calm and relaxed atmosphere as I know the pressure some student might have can weigh them down. In the case of learning a new topic, I might give you a mini test/pop quiz to see what you know of it already and then we would go from there and fill in the gaps. In the case of studying in for final exams or mini tests in school, it is best to start revising as early as possible so we will also make notes to help you remember key details (flash cards, post-it notes, mind maps or whatever is comfortable for you). My tutoring is all about my students and how I can enable them for what is necessary.
