Dear student,

I have a degree in Psychology, a PGCE in Social Science and will become a Psychology examiner in 2023. Having taught Psychology, Sociology and Health and Social Care to year 10-13, I have an in depth understanding of the subjects and of how students can achieve top marks in these subjects. My students have achieved outstanding results as 89% of my psychology students have achieved A-A* in 2022 and I believe you too can achieve this grade. My lessons are differentiated to ensure all student's abilities are catered for. My lessons involve practicing exam questions by reviewing the mark scheme and the examiner's report. It is vitally important to practice how to write essay style answers which is why our lessons will involve practising these questions if that is the area that requires improvement. Essay writing for psychology requires a proper structure and specialist terminology to score higher marks. I will ensure I will provide all the tips and advice on how to ace an essay question (if that is what you require support with). Finally, it is important to have plenary activities whereby students take part in quizzes, games and activities to test on their understanding of the topic. I am a teacher who is supportive, patient and understanding, I will ensure my student is able to achieve their fullest potential by instilling confidence in them.
