I normally go through the different topics with the student and discuss where the difficulities and issues lay. Further we differentiate whether the issues are based on simple memorization difficulties or are due to problems regarding the understanding of the topic. If the student already has a list of subject that he wants to discuss (or has to prepare for an exam) I usually develope a schedule and would prepare a few slides on each subject trying to visualize the key points and later discuss with the students/let the student explain in his own words the topic. The student will receive access to all the slides. If it's just support and revision of his homework, I try to generate the slides on the spot or share my screen on the computer to draw mindmaps and sketches to visualize processes and flows. But in the end it really depends on what the student struggles with and how he normally learns (and what the best type of learning for him is). Based of these individual informations the classes are going to be constructed, tailored to the individual student.
Depending on the preferences of the student and the studyload the amount of classes per week are going to be defined as well as the duration of one class. I am flexible when it comes to time of the classes.
