Jacob in a nutshell
From an early age I have been intrigued by the human mind and how it works. This interest has been enhanced through my study of psychology. Although I have only studied this subject for a relatively short period of time, I have enjoyed the variety the A-level course provides and I feel I have had a sample of different fields of this subject. From an early age I have been intrigued by the human mind and how it works. This interest has been enhanced through my study of psychology. Although I have only studied this subject for a relatively short period of time, I have enjoyed the variety the A-level course provides and I feel I have had a sample of different fields of this subject. It is something I would like other people and students to be fascinated by too.

Psychology surrounds us. I often used observe my class mates and ask myself why they are so different, struggling with attention or eating disorders. While looking for reasons, I also want to find ways to help them and I am confident that psychology will give me the means to do so and I know many people often follow that same thought process.

This subject often ends up answering a lot of unanswered questions that students are waiting to answer. Therefore I would love to help fill the students with satisfaction of finding out these conclusions throughout the subject. I always enjoy teaching the things that aren’t normally considered in every day life are being put centre stage and explained thoroughly.

One of the great things about psychology is that it can be applied in mostly any situation, which truly makes it one of the most interesting subjects I have studied. I am amazed at how many theories and concepts there are, all about how the mind works to shape people into what makes them, them.
