My lessons are always super dynamic - no two students are alike and therefore neither should their lessons. Below is a very rough guide that I use as a starting point when planning lessons, but please understand that it is only to form the base of a lesson.

My lessons are always super dynamic - no two students are alike and therefore neither should their lessons. Below is a very rough guide that I use as a starting point when planning lessons, but please understand that it is only to form the base of a lesson.
How my lessons are delivered:
-Homework (10 mins) - as homework is given out at the end of each session, we always spend 10 mins going over the answers and any queries that may have arisen.
-Core lesson (15-20 mins) - if going over a new topic, or a topic where the student is slightly unsure, we will spend 15-20 mins going over the core principles of the topic, as well as going above and beyond the specification where appropriate. This always ensures the student has the best advantage when it comes to formulating well thought-out responses.
-Question practice (15-20 mins) - this time is spent answering questions that are less exam-like, and more casual to ensure a strong level of understanding is put in place, before answering questions with exam technique.
-Past paper question practice (15-20 mins) - once we have ensured there is a strong foundation of topic knowledge, we then apply it in past paper questions. These questions are more focused on developing good exam technique.
-Homework (10 mins) - the lesson ends with laying out the homework set for the next lesson. These are taken from one of the following: a past paper, a specimen paper, or a question bank which is made in an exam-style.
Due to the amount of content I cover in one lesson, it is common for a lesson to take longer than the standard 60 minutes, and often finish around the 75-80 minute mark at no extra cost. It is always emphasised that hard work is the key to success., which is not only a vital skill in education but in life!
I have had years and years of experience with Computer Science, as well as years of tutoring. I have a robust system in place for the lessons, with continuous updates for parents, easy-to-use meetings and a great whiteboard software that is available 24/7!
