Jacob Barlow

I have taught at a variety of different levels. During my PGCE I taught at a grammar school near Newton Abbott, Stover School, as well as Ashburton Community College. During both schools I taught Drama, English and Performing Arts, ranging from KS3 to KS5.

After my PGCE, I completed my NQT year at Stoke Damerel Community College in Plymouth as an English Teacher and Tutor. Here I taught English from KS3 to KS4, as well as teaching Media Studies at KS4.

I then moved on Alderman Knight School, where I was an SEN teacher for both English and Media Studies, ranging from KS3 to KS4.

During the pandemic, I gained experience in teaching from home, using Microsoft Teams and Zoom. I also spent time gaining experience as a marker for GCSE and A-Level subjects, in a time where it was teacher assessed grades.

I have experience with Edexcel, AQA and WJEC English curriculums, AQA Drama curriculum and WJEC Media Studies.
