This doesn't just include work sheets, but more vocal, or dynamic challenges throughout. There should consistently be a vocal exchange between student and tutor - otherwise the student loses interests, or isn't learning because either, they do not understand, or they already know it, or parts of it.
I've taught one to one (and 2:1 in SEN schools) for four years. I specialize in psychology but I teach biology, math's and other related subjects. I teach because I enjoy the subject - yes, us old school scholars still exist.
I like to make my lessons enjoyable, and I've found the students who enjoy their work are always more successful come exam season.
Test papers, and more stringent challenges are focused towards the end of the lesson, and more often towards the end of the year. Your student will be challenged every lesson.
