I’ve been passionate about English ever since I was young and ever since then, I’ve believed that English should be accessible and easy to understand for everyone.
This definitely bleeds into my teaching style, since I enjoy interacting with my students and making sure they understand the material. I feel that the best way to teach isn’t to have a structure that’s overly strict and rigid, but instead to focus on making the learning fun and engaging, which often involves a lot of back and forth interaction between me and the student, as well as breaking down complicated concepts into simple and easy to understand ways. The goal is to make English something that isn’t intimidating and makes it easily approachable and understandable.
I feel a good rapport between teacher and student is important, so I encourage students to come forward to me about any concerns they may have. I’ll devote as much time as possible to ensuring that if there’s anything they don’t understand, I’ll clarify it for them.
I certainly have a lot of experience in using English skills throughout my life too. In the past, I’ve written published articles for magazines, I’ve done a slew of creative writing and I’ve also written academic papers and legal documents. Needless to say, I have experience in using English in both formal and informal contexts. I’ve also recorded dialogue for toys designed to assist disabled children in speaking, and I also volunteered to help teach in high school classes, so I have experience in teaching children and young adults also.
