I have helped many students in my schools attain A grades at GCSE and A-Level through peer-tutoring, and I have decided that I want to apply my skill of teaching to a wider audience!
I like to think that I am very approachable and down-to-earth, and I pride myself in understanding the specific needs of each student I teach. I am interested in teaching mathematics in particular since I have studied it at quite a high level including Multivariable Calculus and advanced Liner Algebra, and have been the recipient of many National, Regional and School awards, including an invitation to join Mensa UK.
My logic based approach to teaching means that I acknowledge each student has very different needs, and so I would like to create personal syllabi setting out a learning schedule for my students.
My teaching has been praised by professors to be clear and concise. I like to focus on practice, which can indeed make perfect, and allow the students to take many practice exams and questions, going over each with them to make sure the ideas are engrained for the exams.
I do expect a lot from my students, but I am not unfair and not understanding. I am also a student, so I know as best as anyone how stressful your life can be. I do not intend to add to this pressure, but rather allow for you to achieve the grades we both know you are c-able of.
I look forward to teaching you!
Jack.
