When I normally teach my students we normally do a lot or note taking and diagrams are always present for visual learners . I also like to colour coordinate my work to make it easy to understand . We will go over something on that day be it a poem or creative writing and you will get 30-45 minutes to do and exercise to see if you understand the lesson and homework will be given to cement information learnt and we can meet next time and discuss a different topic or the same on if your not sure. We will also be watching educational movies and videos just to ensure that we keep our lessons lively and we will have a few breaks to ensure that your are not getting to overwhelmed with the work.
