As someone who has had tutors in the past to help with my own exams, I believe it is essential to understand how a child learns and the best teaching methods for them, after all, every child is unique. By tailoring lessons to their learning style and supporting them to be confident learners, I believe any child can achieve their goals.
As a result, lessons will be delivered using a variety of techniques depending on their learning style, how best they learn and the subject matter. Methods such as past papers and questions, creating diagrams, quizzes and interactive games can be utilised but will be adapted according to your child's age, learning needs and level of education.
I have previous experience working and teaching children from the ages of 3-16. Throughout Sixth Form and University I supported KS1 classes as a TA, helping to improve literacy and reading abilities whilst encouraging natural curiosity and confidence inside and outside the classroom. I have also worked as a Camp Counsellor and Activity Leader for Camp America where I was responsible for groups of children of ages 3-16, creating new, fun and interactive lessons with limited resources that catered to specific age groups.
