I prefer to get to know students, helping them to assess their strengths and weaknesses. Then, I will use a variety of spoken, written, and audio-based exercises to help break down any problem areas into more manageable concepts, to help make language learning less intimidating and more rewarding. I am happy to go at the pace that best suits each student, as I am in no hurry to move on to another topic before the first is consolidated. I am happy to use materials from schoolwork or provide my own, as best suits the individual student. Having been a teaching assistant for Year 7 Spanish during my A Levels, I am familiar with helping support students at the very start of their language learning journey, whilst mentoring Beginners Fast Track Spanish at University gave me experience in planning sessions in depth to cater to a wider range of topics with students progressing rapidly and learning more complex vocabulary and grammar. I myself am passionate about making sure that learning a foreign language is not overly intimidating or a cause for concern, and I would love the opportunity to help students tackle each topic in a way that helps them feel supported and confident.
