When I was in school, learning visually was vital for remembering topics and content. I will use a mix or PowerPoints, interactive work sheets and a friendly approach to teaching. I will allow to students to tell me what areas within science they struggle with and work with them to build a timetable together.
After building a timetable, I will prepare enough content, starting with them telling me what they need help with, followed by explanation and teaching, either through PowerPoint or a worksheet. After there will be a consolidation of the knowledge using example questions from their spec.
I like to give a friendly approach to teaching, where they feel like they’re learning with a fellow student rather than a teacher:student dynamic as I myself am a student.
