Having done Mathematics at university, I am able to show you why the 'rules' that are taught to you are true and why we use them in the ways we do, which I believe is key for understanding mathematics rather than memorising. We will do practice questions as well , to make sure the material has been understood but I won't occupy the whole lesson with this as I want to be able to explain as much as possible, whereas practice can be done independently. Therefore, I'll help you take notes and understand key examples so that this can aid you when you do revision by yourself.
I can formulate a plan of revision for you, which spaces knowledge for the best learning experience. Alternatively, our time can be spent asking and answering questions, with key examples for practice.
Outside of learning the material, I can help you organise your revision with other subjects that you do, by showing you make a revision timetable. My experience as a student and as a teacher means that I know what the best and most effective ways to revise are, so I can show you how to implement these for yourself. One example is not only marking your work, but also reviewing this and using it to learn from your mistakes.
I have taught Maths at an 'Outstanding' rated Sixth Form for over 2 years, with most experience teaching the full Maths A level. I have A*s in Maths and Further Maths, as well as a First Class Honours in BSc Mathematics from University College London. I hope I can be of help!
