Tutoring is a very individual thing, and each student will have different needs. I am dedicated to ensuring that in every session we work towards your individual goals in whatever way works best for you. My own experiences of school, exams and university applications has helped me to develop a range of techniques for optimum learning. Together we can work to unpack arguments, acquire knowledge and improve understanding, as well as helping you develop a mature writing style that will be applicable in professional settings and in conversational English.
The skills I have developed through my time at university and working in Private English boarding has provided me with invaluable experience to support English learners at a range of ability levels. Having spent the last year as a boarding tutor I have been responsible for providing academic and pastoral support to the students who live in my boarding house. I work closely with the Housemistress to ensure that the students under my care receive a high level of support throughout their time at the school and liaising with parents as needed. The experience gained from this has been unmatched, and having worked with and supported young, non-native English speakers as part of this role I would feel well prepared to support you on your English language journey.
I am very accustomed to working within a fast-paced environment, coordinating multiple projects at the same time. I am passionate about art, history, and cultural studies and my enthusiasm for travel and language is reinforced by my determination to self-teach both French and Spanish, as well as my plans to teach abroad in the years to come.
