I like talking about my hometown of Southend on Sea. It has an airport and is only 1 hour away from the centre of London. Southend has two theatres and its lively music scene includes all genres. It's most famous landmark, Southend Pier, is possibly the longest pier in the world as the tidal river Thames estuary ebbs 1 3/4 miles out towards the North Sea on the east side. There are 2 railway stations, Southend Central and Southend Victoria Station as well as 2 A roads linking Southend to London. Our Parks and Gardens are well kept and the nearby fishing village, Leigh on Sea, offers
