I am an enthusiastic, friendly languages teacher. I enjoy working with learners of all ages and have experience as a French teaching assistant in a secondary school as well as running Japanese taster sessions. I have a TEFL qualification and am an experienced proof reader of English assignments for University students who have English as a second language. English is my native language.
I have many teaching materials and books that can be shared online to enable practice between lessons. All materials will be adapted to your requirements. I am happy to undertake conversational lessons for beginners or those planning trips abroad, through to more intense exam preparation if needed. I have a range of engaging resources for younger pupils too. I look forward to having enjoyable and useful lessons with you!
I have been studying Japanese for over eleven years. I studied at the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies and gained an N3 in the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT July 2017). In 2019 I spent 10 months in Kyoto studying at the Institute of liberal arts at Doshisha University,
I have a deep interest and respect for the history and culture of both Japan. My fluency and understanding has been further enhanced by time spent studying, working and living in the country.
I am based in South Leicestershire and can provide daytime as well as evening lessons either at your address or in my own home, I also offer online lessons for those further away.
