• I have accomplished a Ph.D. degree in Software Engineering from the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, China, which is among the top-rank Computer Science institution in the world. I meet the qualification requirements as I have defended my Ph.D. dissertation in June 2019. The title of my dissertation is: “Patient Data Privacy and Security in Sensor-Cloud Infrastructure” (research area Information Security)
• Teaching adults is different experience than teaching younger people. During my five years of teaching experience, I found university students are independent, they have life experiences and they set some goals to achieve something in their life. Therefore, I usually involve my students in lecture planning. I try to incorporate background knowledge and experiences in my lectures. Similarly, practical and real-life examples work best for me in delivering my content to them.
• I worked at Virtual University of Pakistan in department of computer science as an instructor. During my seventeen months of experience, I conduct online training sessions & lab tutorials, prepare, update, and assured quality of lectures and examination materials, teach Programming Language C ++, Data Structure, Computer Graphics at masters and Bachelor level, mentor students through online tutoring., manage all academic costumed software including VULMS, GMDB, VIS, Exam’s software., designing, marking assignments and papers of Masters and Bachelor classes, conduct video tutorials to digest tedious concepts easily, develop associate degree program for virtual learning.
• I was also fortunate enough to teach a lot of undergraduate and master's level courses like Information Security, Software Engineering, Software Requirement Engineering, Software Architecture and Design, Object-Oriented Software Engineering, Software Fault Tolerance, Data structures, and Algorithms, Software System Quality, Software System Architecture and, Information Security, etc. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I also conduct online Classes through google meet, and take quizzes, assignments, class tasks, and final assessments on Google Classroom. I also take online viva in google classroom for individual assessment of content. Furthermore, I can undertake effective administrative duties at the institutional level. Because during my Assistant Professor of Computer Science tenure, I have been a member of BS Software Engineering and MS Computer Science course curriculum development committee as per HEC accreditation, ACM and international standards, task Management of Accreditation Visit (National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC)), and member of Graduate Research Committee, member of Undergraduate Project Evaluation Committee of BSSE.
• I also work with students from different provinces of Pakistan. Each student carries his own cultural values, religious beliefs and social norms. I can communicate with students at all levels and get them to visualize my delivered content. I usually prefer to make groups of students with similar interests and abilities. This strategy encourages independence in them. I always enjoy a challenging courses, classrooms and can work well under pressure. My other strengths are a strong commitment to teaching and research. I am highly motivated and enjoy challenges within a new or existing role, and feel I am flexible enough to meet the needs of the software engineering degree program.
• I have also experience of teaching to students with ADD problem. One of my students frequently loose his focus during the lecture. I try my best to engage him throughout my lectures with reinforcement and positive feedback. I usually take breaks in lecture and limit the distraction to retain their focus. Similarly, the students who are unable to follow the contents but show some effort for learning. I give them extra consultation to meet the deadline of assignments and exams.
• I believe self-learning is the best learning. I love to give semester projects in teams for my students. Usually, students choose real case or scenario of their own interest and each team member defined his own role in the project according to his/her abilities. In this way students identify problem, define methodology, perform experiment according to their knowledge, take results and analyze it according to their background knowledge.
• In my classroom, I usually follow proper lesson plans, a thought-provoking quote or statement at the beginning of lecture to gain the student interest, lesson content with constructive response, group discussion, assessment, assignments and course feedback.
• On a more subject-specific level, I can understand and deliver software engineering concepts beyond the constraints of the curriculum, and also comprehend the logic behind how students should implement solutions to computing problems. I am also a patient person, with a serious, and focused attitude to my work, but with a relaxed attitude. This trait helps me to deal with frustrating problems and research questions with smart techniques and approaches.
