Hi! I strive to make each lesson with every student a beneficial yet comfortable experience; I want to create a safe, non judgmental space for students where they know they aren't afraid to make mistakes and leave every lesson having learned something new. I will always take the time to ensure I understand each student's needs and learning methods to make sure I am working to the best of my ability to help them succeed. I specialise in History for A Level students as I performed well during my 2 years at sixth form studying this subject, and feel as though this is my strongest point.
My lesson format will always be to discuss what the student wants to achieve in that session in advance and planning accordingly to ensure this is achieved. The content I use to teach will always be from verified sources and will be easily accessible for students to take a look at after each lesson if they wish.
I would work slightly differently when it comes to primary school students. I would spend extra time ensuring they feel comfortable as I understand tutors can seem intimidating to some. I would try different teaching methods to figure out which method works best with each student, and ensure they make consistent progress with each session.
