My lessons will include first-hand A* advice for students to do well in their A Levels. I have the personal experience of really making a change to my grade profile, having gone from getting Ds and Es to getting A*A*A in my actual A Level. I will encourage students to voice any concerns or difficulties that they may have, to ensure they have a solid foundation of the knowledge required of them. I like to incorporate the use of active recall within lessons, so at the start of the lesson and at the end, there may be a task that involves recalling information that has previously been taught. We can also organise revision timetables, and experiment with different revision techniques and decide which is suitable to the particular student. I will also be able to allow students to admire the subjects that they are studying, which, in turn, will encourage them to revise their subjects more as they actually enjoy them too. I will prepare exam questions for the student, based on what work they have been covering in the lesson, to solidify their knowledge.
