As a current medical student I understand how important it is to have someone who is able to teach in a simple and non-judgememtal way. I am friendly and professional, and have experience teaching both friends and family GCSE and A Level sciences, helping them achieve top grades. I have an excellent understanding of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, and am familiar with the specifications for these subjects.
I work by explaining concepts that a student has flagged up that they find difficult, whilst also ensuring the common concepts are covered. This personalised approach ensures maximum efficiency of time. I am an extremely patient teacher - I think it's really important to have someone who you are able to ask all questions to, and no question is a 'silly' question to me.
I believe in visual and hands on learning so I really enjoy teaching using diagrams and mnemonics, as I found these really useful. I also use past paper questions and textbook questions to supplement my teaching once concepts have been explained. I feel that this is the best way to consolidate learning and prove that understanding has been achieved.
I am flexible with the way a student wants to learn - if they have specific needs I am able to tailor my teaching to achieve those goals, however if a general overview of everything is required then I am able to cover these concepts concisely.
