My lessons are varied depending on how you like to learn, they’re totally catered to each specific student, as no two students are the same! I first like to get to know the student a little and find out the areas they are struggling with the most, and ensure I really focus my time with them on those areas first. Once they feel like they’re more comfortable with those areas, I like to do a review of all the related content once more, meaning they are completely confident with both the areas they were struggling with, but also the other topics we may cover. I prefer more physical interactive work, that may be writing live on a shared screen, however there can be more pre prepared work, such as worksheets as well, depending on what best suits the needs of that student. My sessions are always very friendly, it’s a safe space for them to learn with zero judgment, only ever positive reinforcement, and kind words as I’d like to become someone they look forward to working with! This is how I always preferred any sort of teaching to be, so I try to emulate that with my students! I’ve done Maths at GCSE, then did subjects with a Maths component at A-Level, as I did more Science based subjects, and now I’m at University doing a year of Pharmacology, then moving onto Pharmacy, so I still use Maths every single day, and it will be a crucial part of my future career. I love to teach younger students as I love shaping young minds, and I’ve always been good at talking, and explaining things to little ones, and I would love to help a younger student who needs some one on one help with Maths, to help them realise their true potential, even if they can’t see it right now!!
