I like to discuss before the lesson a topic which you want to go over. I start my sessions by doing a practice question to identify what is being misunderstood. I then go through the topic and try to tailor the lesson to the pupil's learning style and use visual tools such as diagrams to help explain concepts. I've been tutoring for 3 years and I've found the best way to learn is through practice rather than being lectured like some teachers do in schools.
