I am an 18 year old student at the University of Manchester, looking to carry on and expand my professional tutoring career after beginning in sixth form, where I studied A-level biology, history, and English literature, receiving a grade A in both biology and history. My lessons are typically 60 minutes long. During this time I can explain difficult topics in more detail with the time that is typically not available during to students during school lessons, meaning I can work with the student to pinpoint exactly what it is that they are getting wrong. I have also recently finished my A-level exams, meaning I can share first-hand advice and revision tips for the subject that may be more relatable and suitable for a student, which I have found makes the advice much more successful. I began tutoring younger students in both biology and history at the request of my sixth form due to my deep knowledge of not only the subjects, but how the exam questions are worded and marked. Although it was rewarding to help students perform better in the subject, I most enjoyed sharing my passion for these subjects with other students. I always hope to inspire the same passion for the subject in my students, as I believe that good grades begin with a genuine passion and interest for the subject. After two years of tutoring experience, I have been able to build up my professionalism and develop specific approaches to difficult topic areas, using first hand experience from the responses of past students.
