My priority with my lessons using your interests to make lessons personal and engaging, and therefore more memorable and successful! Also, I will ask you for specific language aspects you would like to focus on in our lessons (Colloquial language/slang, Business English, specific tenses or grammar points etc.)

Example: if you love pop music and want to improve your general conversation skills and confidence, I will base my lessons on an aspect of pop music to practise the target language. This may be via song lyrics, or discussion of an aspect of the genre or a certain artist, so that you feel more confident engaging in these conversations in real situations. I like to use stimulating materials, alongside PowerPoints and more traditional learning materials, and use real-life material like recent news, trending songs, even internet memes to make sure that my lessons are relevant and engaging.

I will make sure that you feel confident and engaged as I know this aids learning and proficiency. I will check in with you to make sure that you feel like your confidence is improving, as well as areas that you feel may need further improvements.

I am a friendly, professional, encouraging teacher who focuses on the student’s needs and desires to provide efficient lessons! Having learned a second language myself, I understand the key demands of learning a second language and the importance of a positive learning environment in order to gain the necessary confidence needed to use the language skills in real life situations!
