I will use the assessment objectives provided by the relevant exam board to compartmentalise knowledge and ensure students have the *relevant* skills needed
I don’t accept political answers! I encourage directness and informed decision making, conciseness and depth are key characteristics of grade 8/9 english essays.
Practice makes perfect! - writing essays will become routine. I will cater the ways in which essays are written to the feedback of teachers as I know teachers mark differently and a ‘one size fits all approach’ is not very beneficial.
Each lesson is likely to be concluded with a take-away task based on areas for improvement. In consideration of students’ busy schedules, I assure no take-away task will take beyond 30 minutes to complete.
I use powerpoints to provide structure to lessons which will usually be pre-planned based off of areas for improvement that have been previously identified.
