I like to talk with the student to understand why they struggle with the content and find what works for them as what works for one student my not work for another. Lessons may include : asking them to explain how they view content then going through the work with them, using active recall questions, doing a past paper every month to track progress and a small amount of homework. I have experience as a tutor as I currently volunteer to teach GCSE history to children who are struggling in my school. Furthermore I've grown up helping my disabled brother with school work allowing me to be able to work with those who struggle greatly with school work as well as those with learning disabilities. I want to build a safe space for the student and allow them to express any concerns they may have outside of school as I can understand that it can feel scary talking with teachers. I feel that being able to talk outside of school allows students to be able to express any worries more openly as they do not feel the same pressure they would talking in school. I could also help prepare your child for the move from GCSE to a-level as it can be quiet hard keeping up with the heavy workload at a level compared to the work at GCSE. I am looking forward to helping students who are struggling and help them achieve their unknown potential. Thank you so much
