My goal is to help students from year 7 all the way up to A-level become more confident with their Maths skills. I have A-levels in Maths and Further Maths of grades A* and A respectively and I'd like to help students feel ambitious enough to strive for similar grades themselves. I have experience in tutoring and have tutored students for their GCSE exams in subjects such as Maths, Physics, Chemistry and even Latin. I have always delivered lessons to my students in a way that breaks complex skills down to basic Maths, so that we can work together to build the skills back up to understanding those more difficult processes. By solidifying the understanding of the skills in this way, we can then take a look at exam-style questions, to see exactly what type of thing students will be asked in their exams. Not only does that help to get greater understanding of the step-by-step process that needs to be taken, but it also sets students up for success in their examinations, so that they aren't felling surprised or blind-sided by the questions they are being asked. I understand that subjects such as Maths and Science can sometimes be regarded as "the boring subjects", but it is my goal to deliver these lessons in a fun and exciting way, that gets students excited for the next one! My hope is to help students become more confident with their own abilities in Mathematics, and maybe, to even see them enjoy studying some of the Mathematical principles.
