I have recently left college, achieving 4 A* in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and EPQ. I also achieved 9s in the first 3 subjects at GCSE level. I have in depth knowledge on exam technique and revision tips, which helped me achieve these grades. Last year I was a senior tutor at my college, helping GCSE level students with maths and science studies. However, finishing A-levels means I am able to tutor at this level too.
A lesson begins with an in depth look into the topics content. This is then followed by an activity surrounding the topic (creating a flowchart, writing out a method etc). Once the activity is complete, application of knowledge is practiced by walking through exam questions. Another revisit to the content is next, followed by revision tips and exam technique advice. The lesson is then finished by individual practice of past paper questions, marking these and then identifying the areas of weakness in the topic which require more work.
I am also able to discuss with students effective revision strategies and help with any homework/exam questions they are struggling with.
