Lessons are made enjoyable and easy to follow which is heightened if the student is of a younger age. Methods such as memory recall, practice papers, vocab tests, spelling tests, pronunciation games, comprehension, thought banks and English technical language is used too. I am very experienced in teaching and I have many people skills as I enjoy talking with people and understanding things from their point of view. You will flourish getting taught by me!
I particularly like to tutor students in younger years such as year 1-6 but I am also comfortable with tutoring year 7-11 students. For students wanting to ask me to tutor for their GCSEs, please come prepared with your exam board, year of sitting their GCSEs and exact pieces you are doing. The extracts I am better to teach you are if you are doing Macbeth by Shakespeare, A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, Lord of the Flies by William Golding and the Power and Conflict section of the AQA anthology. Please bring with you these books as well although I will be selling some copies of books and / or flashcards if you are in need of them at a lower price than the ones which Amazon are selling at a costly price.
According to the timings of lessons, I am quite flexible and so I will be able to support your decisions on whenever you want your lessons. However, I would like to be not be told on short notice so I can make the experience easier for us all.
